BACHELOR OF SCIENCE

Economics

 
SIU ACS’s BS in Economics provides the student with an excellent preparation for graduate school or careers in private business or in the public sector by combining courses in business administration with studies of economic theory and practice.
General Core Courses:
In fulfilling the requirements of the General Core, a student may opt to fulfill the requirements for the two-year Associate of Arts Degree (see the General Studies or Associate Degree links). The General Core consists of the following:

Two Humanities courses; includes art, art history, literature, philosophy and history (except HIS 101 and HIS 102)

Undergraduate Graduation Requirements:
Students must earn a minimum of 124 semester credits. All students must complete the General Core courses as described above.
No more than 2 credits in physical education may be included in the 124-credit requirement.
A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 (C) or above must be earned.
The final 33 credits must be completed in the residence at Schiller International University.
Completion of at least the intermediate level of one foreign language is required.
