This intensive one-year program, offered at ACS, integrates
academic training and practical experience in Hotel
Management so students acquire skills which qualify them for
immediate employment in the hospitality field. Following a
two-semester academic program combining classroom study with
hands-on training, students must under-take a six-month
internship and submit a written report prior to receiving
their diploma. For the student who prefers to qualify
further before beginning a career, successful completion of
this program may be counted as completion of the first year
of the two-year Associate of Science degree with a
concentration in Hotel Management. This program is a full
introduction to hotel operations. Practical experience is
introduced through laboratory classes at the campuses and
the attached training facilities, so students are able to
gain firsthand knowledge of the problems and practices of
hotel operation.
This diploma program
also counts as the first university year of the BBA
International Hotel & Tourism Management with Hotel
Management Concentration and students, after successful
completion, can get a direct entry into the second year of
the Advanced
Diploma in Swiss Hotel Management / Associate of Science in
International Hotel & Tourism Management with Hotel
Management Concentration.
Students must successfully complete the following courses
plus completion of a six month internship and submission
of a written report prior to diploma award.

an integral part of the program. Internships serve as
excellent opportunities to gain valuable references as well
as serve as a foundation for a career in the hospitality
