This intensive two-year programme,
offered at the Leysin campus in Switzerland and the London-Waterloo
campus in the United Kingdom, integrates Business Administration and
Hotel Management graduate academic training as well as practical
experience in Hotel Operational Management to enable students to
acquire the skills that qualify them for immediate employment in the
hospitality field.
Students start the first and
second semesters of studies in Switzerland. The first semester of
studies, which lasts 4 months, combines classroom study of advanced
business and management issues and topics with further hands-on
training in hotel operations.
During the second semester of
studies, students undertake a paid* internship for 4-6 months in
hotels and restaurants to gain practical experience, and submit a
written report relative to the management of such outlets.
Students are then allowed to transfer the credits earned to continue
their studies in the United Kingdom for the third and fourth
semesters of study.
* minimum gross remuneration is CHF 2,000 - a month.

Admission Requirements
Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business
administration, hospitality, or hotel and restaurant management,
provided that the following courses have been completed: economics,
statistics, business law, marketing, management and accounting.
Submission of score on Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
Students are required to take the GMAT before or during their SIU
studies, but must have taken it during the final term of studies at
the latest - the official score must be received directly from ETS.
Graduation Requirements
In addition to the graduation requirements for all graduate student
candidates for the Master of Business Administration in
International Hotel and Tourism Management degree must have
completed a minimum of 45 semester credits at the graduate level,
and passed the final oral comprehensive examination.
