HIM is located in the City Centre of Montreux.
The building has been converted to conform with the requirements of
an educational institute of highest quality standards
The central location of Hotel Europe makes
student life very convenient: the main train station, the post
office, shopping centres, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs or the
famous "Quai des fleurs" (flower promenade on lake Geneva) are all
within 5 minutes walking distance from the school.
All facilities are owned and operated by HIM and
maintained to the highest standards.

Meals
Fullboard is provided throughout the week at
Hotel Europe. 3 meals are served from Monday
day to Friday, brunch and dinner at weekends.
Teaching Facilities
Modern classrooms in either the main building -
Hotel Europe - or in its annexe - are equipped
with state-of-the-art teaching aids accommodating 25 to 50 students.
The well-furnished Nestle Auditorium provides the
back-drop for culinary lecturer and demonstrations. The Hilton
Auditorium is used for lectures and can accommodate up to 100
students.
The library is a
pool of valuable information.
Access to computer equipment and the latest industry
hardware and software gives students the opportunity to
develop their computer skills.
Practical experience is vital for a well-rounded
education, which is why HIM's facilities include self-service and
full-service restaurants and two professional kitchens.

Athletic pursuits also provide an important
balance. For this reason HIM organises professional visits,
excursions and activities such as ski weekends and has special
arrangements with local sporting facilities.
Student Committee
The HIM student committee meets on
a regular basis with the school management to discuss
ideas to further develop services offered to students.
The HIM student committee also organises a range
of in-house activities and excursions (participation is
optional).
