The
three-year programme of study, comprising a
two-year Swiss Hotel Diploma articulating to a
UK Honours Degree, is unique to IHTTI.
Students who successfully complete the Diploma
may progress to the Honours programme which is
completed within a third year. It culminates
in the delivery at IHTTI of a final year entry
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in either:

International Hospitality Management (IHM),
or
-
International Tourism Management (ITM), or
-
International Hospitality and Tourism
Management
The Bachelor
of Arts Degree (Hons) is awarded by
Bournemouth University, UK. In addition, all
students who meet IHTTI's professional
standards, receive the Swiss Higher Diploma in
Hotel and Business Management.
Students
also have the opportunity to receive a
specialised competency in Event Management or
in IT Operations Management. Both courses are
offered as an elective in the 1st and 3rd
semesters. Students completing the IT
Operation elective have the opportunity to
obtain
Microsoft's MCP
Certificate (Microsoft Certified
Professional)

Industry
Placement : During the second semester of
each of the first two years, a minimum of 20
weeks of compulsory industry placement has to
be carried out in a hotel or restaurant
approved by the School. A full-time Career and
Placement Counsellor assists the students with
the placement in hotels in Switzerland or
around the world and visits all students who
do their industry placement in Switzerland.
During
industry placement in Switzerland, students
are under contract with their establishment,
which will pay them a trainee's gross
salary of a minimum of CHF 2,050.- per month.
If prior to joining the School a student has
completed hotel or restaurant work acceptable
to the Academic Office, one semester of
industry placement may be waived.
