IHTTI is the one of the very few
Swiss hotel management schools that has been through
evaluation and accreditation procedures by the Cantons
(member states of Switzerland). Today it is officially
accredited by 24 of them. This is the most credible
quality assurance a school can offer to its students.
IHTTI Switzerland has numerous very important and
prestigious international accreditations. It is also the
only Swiss hotel management school accredited by
MICROSOFT as an Authorized Academic Training Provider.
One of the school’s great assets are
the alumni (former students of IHTTI), many of whom
maintain close links with the school. They provide
encouraging examples of successful careers that are
available to IHTTI graduates. With young people from all
over the world, IHTTI can really boast that it is a
truly international educational institution. Students
learn naturally to work and live with people from any
ethnic or cultural background.
The following statements attest that
IHTTI is offering an outstanding education in the
hospitality field.

Studying hotel
management in Switzerland represented several challenges
for me. When I decided to join IHTTI, I was scared about
the type of teaching that I was going to receive, as
Switzerland has the best reputation for this matter.
Another big challenge for me was my adaptation to the
Swiss-European life. When I finally arrived in Neuchâtel
I quickly learned that they not only gave me all the
time that I needed for my adaptation to the environment
and to the system of teaching, but also that all the
students shared the same situation as they represented
50 or more nationalities.
I think that IHTTI gives a big
advantage to the foreign students to relate with local
people as we run our own hotel and we have to give the
guests the proper "accueil" or hospitality that
they expect in any hotel in the world. |

We have got very good
team spirit in our class because many tasks we have to
solve in groups. I have also learned to receive
suggestions from older and more experienced students and
take the best out of them. I felt that I developed
different skills for my industrial training due to the
interaction of duties and classes. My short-term goal is
to finish my studies at IHTTI with success and pursue a
management career in the human relations department.
Furthermore I can also think of developing a
post-graduate degree as this school opens many
possibilities for my future, not only due to the Swiss
and English degree but also thanks to the fantastic
network of alumni (former students) that support us. |

HBA, as a class,
it was amazing, fantastic. We had lots of fun and I
made lots of new friends. It was a wonderful
experience for me because we are from different
countries, have different cultures and of course,
different personalities. It is very interesting to
see different people getting together and having to
stay together for 6 months, but it was a great time,
I miss it a lot. We had the Russians, a small shy
Asian community, the Africans, crazy football fans
from Europe and South America, and we had our good
friend our course tutor…. With our teachers’ hard
work, we have grown up to be mature ladies and
gentlemen. We worked hard too and we also suffered
sometimes, we thank them, our lecturers, who gave us
every chance to experience the difficult road to
success. Finally, we got it… |

It feels like
yesterday! When we, the “good old fellows” from
98A, were running from duties to class and then
back on duty. Who has not slept with their
service uniform on, or forgotten or lost their
nametag more than once? But, learning can
develop skills, and skills can lead to
competence! For the time being I’m studying for
an MBA at Edinburgh University. The program is
ranked among the top ten in Europe. The skills I
gained during my time at IHTTI in Neuchâtel,
Switzerland together with the fabulous network
have provided me with a solid foundation for
diversifying into investment banking.
