The expanding hospitality industry has a requirement for creative, able managers who can speak a modern language. Graduates normally progess through the management structures of major hospitality, leisure and tourism companies both in the UK and overseas. However, the course also provides opportunities for those wishing to follow careers in particular specialist areas such as human resource management, marketing, finance or operations management.

Career prospects within the industry are excellent for our graduates and include: Hotel, restaurant and leisure management, Functional roles in personnel, finance & marketing, Research and consultancy and World-wide travel and tour operators.

Placements & Field Trip

The supervised work experience placement is an integral part of the course. The 48 week placement period allows you to work within hospitality companies and related organisations. The valuable and meaningful experience will assist graduates to gain employment. We encourage you to go to a country where the language you have chosen to study is spoken. A European field trip usually occurs in Year 1. We have made visits to Paris, Amsterdam, Spain and Malta.

Admission Requirements
  • Typical points score for entry 200 points
  • GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C or above or equivalent.
  • A2 level in a modern language or two AS level languages.
