This course aims to meet the demand of the rapid growth in cruise tourism and focuses not only on cruise ships and cruise organisations but also the applied cruise industries, which play a vital role in supporting the cruise industry as a whole. This could include suppliers, logistics, public sector, hospitality and many others too numerous to mention here. You will gain theoretical knowledge through a blend of cruise industry, tourism, management and business units as well as acquire skills required for careers in the cruise industry.

This specialist programme aims to develop your understanding of the growing global cruise tourism industry. The units covered will allow you to explore cruise tourism development and impact issues, tourism policy and contemporary issues in cruise and tourism.

Work Placement & Field Trip
During the first year you will develop skills to prepare you for a 6 week work placement which should be carried out after year 1 and before you start year 2. A compulsory short cruise field trip will take place in year 1 and is designed for you to experience a cruise voyage first hand and enhance your knowledge of cruise operations.
Admission Requirements
220 points of which 120 are from one12-unit or two 6-unit awards OR BTEC National Diploma Merit profile.
