experience of interacting with students from around the
world. SHMS has students from more than 60 countries,
living and studying together on campus
Although the study programme is intensive, there is also
time to enjoy the wealth of leisure activities that
Switzerland offers. The school arranges many sports,
recreational and sightseeing activities for students.
Many European countries are within easy reach for
weekend excursions.

Leysin-Campus
Our SHMS Leysin Campus is
known as Switzerland’s first Learning Resort and offers,
besides outstanding academic facilities, a wide range of
leisure and relaxation facilities. Leysin - a well-known
ski and sports resort - is located approximately 30
minutes drive from Montreux and offers excellent leisure
and sports facilities in summer and winter.
Students in the Diploma
and Higher Diploma Programme have the option to study
either in the Caux-Campus or in the Leysin Campus. All
students in the PGD/PGC or the final term of the BA/MA
programmes are accommodated in the Leysin Campus.
Facilities
SHMS is housed in two outstanding properties in Leysin.
The Mont-Blanc Palace Hotel was one of the largest and
most impressive hotels in Leysin and the Belvédère
Hotel, built just a few years later and only a short
distance away to the same high specification. Both
hotels later became part of the famous Club Med, until
they were purchased and completely renovated by SHMS in
2004.
The outstanding setting, great sporting facilities,
opportunities for sightseeing and the proximity to
Montreux and Lake Geneva may be some of the reasons why
Leysin today is increasingly developing into an
international study resort home to many international
schools and universities.
Leysin - a charming well known resort, quiet and
peaceful enough to focus on your studies yet full of
sports, leisure and sightseeing opportunities - is the
‘natural’ place to study.
